Floating Needle on Water

THE EFFECT: Challenge your friends to balance a needle on the surface of a glass of water without it sinking. Of course they will fail and you show them how it's done!
THE SECRET: You will need a container filled with water, a piece of tissue paper and a needle.
Put the tissue paper gently on the water. Let it float. Place the needle on the tissue paper lightly. A few minutes later, the tissue paper will sink into the water.
Amazingly the needle will be left floating on the water!
