King Rising Levitation

THE EFFECT: The magician appears to rise up into the air and back down again seemingly unsupported. A very nice variation on the Balducci Levitation where BOTH feet are seen to rise off the ground. THE SECRET: 1. First ensure your audience is to the side of you, not the front or back as your cover will be blown. 2. Say, "Often magicians use this method to perform a levitation". Hold your coat in front of your waist and legs. 3. Use this misdirection to remove the foot that is furthest away from your spectators from your shoe. 4. Put your foot at a right angel against your shoe. 5. When you have done that take away your jacket and say, "However, I do not use a jacket!" 6. Apply pressure to the sides of the empty shoe with both feet and push up on the tip toes of the hidden foot. It will look like you are rising up. When you have levitated for a couple of seconds go back down again. 7. To get back into your shoe say, "Can you see the difference between me..." put your coat back over your legs as in Step 2. You continue "...and the fake way" As you say that place your foot back into your shoe. Here is a quick video to show the move in more detail:
