THE EFFECT: The magician shuffles the deck with the Hindu Shuffle, he tells the spectator to say stop anywhere they like. When they say stop he shows them the card they cut to and gets them to memorize it.


The magician puts the rest of the deck on their card so it is lost once more. He then spreads the cards out to reveal one card in the deck is red. The magician gets the spectator to pull the card from the deck and turn it over. It is the spectators card!


THE SECRET: You will need a blue deck and a red card that is any card of your choice. Whichever card you choose as the red card, remove the blue card version from the deck.


Put the red card on the bottom and you are set. To perform, hold the deck ready to do the Hindu Shuffle. You need to hold the deck from above and use your other hand to strip off small packets of cards from the top of the deck into your other hand. If you keep doing this fast it looks like you are mixing through the deck. Ask the spectator to say stop and when they do show them the bottom of the deck.


Because of the way you have shuffled the cards the spectator will not realise it is the bottom of the deck. Get them to memorize the card (which is in fact the red card).


Place the cards back on the deck so the card is lost. Then simply spread the cards and show there is one red card in the deck. Get the spectator to remove and turn over this card. It will be there chosen card! THANK YOU.
