NEW MAGIC: AI Card Trick

A New phone based reveal i’ve been using lately. I haven’t updated this site in a while, so a quick bit of context.

I never stopped thinking about magic. What did change is the tools I started experimenting with.

And I think I've come up with a cool way to reveal a chosen card with this AI Card Trick.

Over the last year, I’ve been playing with AI video generation. At first, out of curiosity. Then I realised something important:

This stuff isn’t “techy”. It’s utility.

In fact, it’s one of the most powerful additions to phone based magic I’ve seen in years. Let me explain with a simple example.

The Basic Version (Dead Simple)

• You force a card.

• You take out your phone.

• You play what looks like a pre recorded video.

• The video reveals the card.

From the spectator’s point of view the outcome is locked in before the trick even begins.

• No obvious apps.

• No fiddly interfaces.

• No weird “magic software” tells.

It feels clean. Modern. Impossible.

The Advanced Version (Still Simple)

This is the idea that got me excited. A spectator freely pics a card. You glimpse it as part of your normal handling.

While talking, joking, or doing standard patter you casually type a short line into your phone.

Moments later, you show a video reveal.

To them, it looks like the phone somehow knew the card in advance. To you, it feels like using a utility device, not performing a tech demo.

Why This Works So Well

• Nothing to install on their phone

• No obvious “magic app” vibe

• The phone feels innocent

• You control the moment, not the tech

• Works close-up, casual, or impromptu

Most importantly: You’re not learning a new trick. You’re adding a new reveal weapon.

HERE IS THE SECRETS:

What I’m Using Behind the Scenes: I ended up building my own tool around this idea, mainly because I couldn’t find anything that did what I wanted without getting in the way.

It’s called KlipZi.

At its core, it lets you turn a short idea or line of text into a believable, natural-looking video reveal 2 mins flat.

• No templates.

• No stock “magic” graphics.

• No learning curve.

You decide how you want to use it. If you’re curious and if this sort of thing interests you, you can check out KlipZi here:

No pressure. No obligation & Free to use.

I just wanted to share where my thinking has been heading and what I’ve personally been using instead of traditional phone based magic apps.

Still magic. Just modern tools.

Simon.

PS. Here is an example I just made in 2 mins, it's on YouTubes!

PPS. Here is the EXACT KlipZi Prompt I used - just change the card!

"A busy London street people busses CCTV footage. Random guy runs up to the camera and shows the 3 of clubs to it and says "is that your card?" hyper realistic."
