Simple Card Trick

THE EFFECT: Taking a regular deck of cards you give them a shuffle. You take a card off the top of the deck and show it to your audience to memorize. Placing the card back on top, you proceed to place it into the middle of the deck deck.


With a magical tap of the deck the card jumps to the top. You show the top card is indeed the card previously placed into the middle. No duplicates used!


THE SECRET: After you shuffle the deck and pick up the top card, you actually do a double lift. This is basically taking two card off the top as one card. If you don't how to do a double lift learn it
HERE. Show the card(s) to your spectator and get them to memorize the card you show them (actually two cards together).


When you put the card(s) back on top of the deck you leave the card the spectator memorized behind and place the top card into the middle.


All that is left for you to do is make a magical gesture and reveal the card has magically returned to the top of the deck!
